About Yarri Creek Osteopathy

David Bennett
Registered Osteopath

David completed 5 years of Osteopathic training at RMIT University in 1998.

Previous to this he spent 2 years studying Architecture where he found both mystery and inspiration in architectural space and form: unaware at the time, this period formed the seed of what was to be his future love for Osteopathy. He then completed an Economics degree at UWA. This training offered a disciplined and systematic approach to viewing the world. This clarity of definition has been of great value whilst navigating Cranial Osteopathy, a highly intuitive field of healthcare.

Since graduation David has undertaken ongoing post-graduate studies in the Cranial Field and Biodynamics of Cranial Osteopathy; both in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Dr Andrew Taylor Still (The Founder of Osteopathy, 1874) referred to the “Architect”, the intelligence within Nature that designed and created the human form. Like a well designed building, the human body generates a natural sense of vitality and well-being when all elements are in harmony and accordance with the original blue print. When life's traumas result in the body deviating from this intended design, it ceases to provide a peaceful environment conducive to health.

The body, regardless of how unbalanced it may be, always strives towards its point of origin: the blue-print of its conception. It is this internal drive that provides the therapeutic force for change. Osteopathy in the Cranial Field is a method of treatment that utilises the body's own self-healing potential to resolve past trauma. The outcome of treatment is a return to one's natural state of happiness, balance, vitality and wellbeing.

David enjoys meeting people from all walks of life, particularly those who are awake (or open in potential) to their own divine nature. At the core of our being is the foundation of our health; an animating principle that initiates and sustains life.

David has a special interest in treating families who are planning a pregnancy: that is 'tending to the soil" in which future growth will occur. Of enormous value also is treatment during pregnancy itself and also helping babies resolve any internal strain associated with the birthing process. Preconception care and treatment during a pregnancy provides a foundation for genuine preventative healthcare. This is David's absolute passion!!

Prevention is better than cure.
